Description: In 2001, IYF launched a global initiative called YouthActionNet to identify, encourage, and enhance the leadership potential of this emerging generation of young leaders. Over the past five years, YouthActionNet has provided more than 120 young social entrepreneurs with a combination of skills, mentoring, idea-sharing, to enhance their leadership abilities and the impact of their projects in over 50 countries. The Starbucks Innovation Fund will provide up to 25 of these YouthActionNet Global Fellows with the financial resources and capacity building resources they need to expand their social projects and reach more beneficiaries.

Description: YV is delivering a "Dream it. Do it."Tour through 13 major cities across the United States from February 25 through April 25, 2008. Youth ages 12-20 are invited to the Dream It. Do it. Workshops held at schools and other public venues. These workshops support interested youth to create, launch, and lead their own community-benefiting organizations, or "ventures". The ventures are solutions to local problems identified by youth themselves. YV provides the tools and support youth need to be successful, including start-up funding of up to $1000 per team.
